Surviving to thriving: professional support for Early Career Teachers of PDHPE

Online mentoring program

ACHPER NSW (in partnership with the NSW PDHPETA and University of Wollongong) are taking expressions of interest from experienced PDHPE teachers considering being involved in the 2009 Online Mentoring Program.

This is the second stage of the project “From Surviving to Thriving” which is a professional learning initiative for early career teachers of PDHPE. It is an online mentoring program utilising the BEST-PDHPE website at Wollongong University.

The time commitment is once a week for an online chat with your mentee (a first or second year PDHPE teacher from another school), as well as attending a training day on
Friday 15th May, at Wollongong University (relief provided).

This is a great leadership opportunity outside your school.

If you are interested in being a mentor, or require more information about the program, please contact Jenny Ekanayake at the ACHPER NSW Office.
