K-6 PDHPE Workshop
The Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER NSW) is pleased to offer a PDHPE Workshop for teachers of K-6 students. The workshop is designed to support primary teachers from across all education sectors: NSW Department of Education and Training, Catholic Education Commission, and the Association of Independent Schools.
The workshop will include the following sessions:
- Gym Fun – simple ideas for teaching gymnastics that require minimal equipment
- New and innovative ways to include reproductive and sexual health in your health lessons
- Modified games – learn how to modify games for different spaces, numbers, equipment, environment etc
- Drug Education – gain understanding of a new resource for Stage 2 and Stage 3 students on alcohol education.
This workshop will assist teachers to feel confident delivering the PDHPE curriculum and tailoring learning to the needs of their students. This workshop is suitable for PDHPE and classroom teachers.
