K-6 PDHPE and Sport Conference

Given the overwhelming positive response to the inaugural K-6 PDHPE & Sport Conference held at Niagara Park Public School on the Central Coast in 2011, ACHPER NSW is pleased to be offering this conference again in 2012. This exciting and innovative professional development conference is a joint project with ACHPER NSW, the School Sport Unit and South Western Sydney and Sydney Local Health District Health Promotion Service. This Conference is open to K-6 teachers across all education sectors.

Program may include workshops on: Games in confined spaces with minimal equipment, inclusive games, dance, gymnastics, fundamental movement skills, game sense, reinforcing literacy & numeracy concepts through playground games, tabloids, physical activity & nutrition, managing school sport, integrating ICT into PDHPE and programming PDHPE
K-6 teachers will be able to select to attend either practical or theory based workshops, or both on the day.

Cost: $150(includes 12 months membership to ACHPER, valued at $120)
