Ann has a long involvement in ACHPER beginning as a member of the South Coast branch of ACHPER in 1975 -80, then undertaking the role of Board member and Treasurer of the ACHPER (NSW) 1990- 1995 and again since 2006. As a classroom teacher, head teacher, deputy principal and principal of Hunter Sports High School, Ann contributed greatly to her profession. She co-authored a Stage 6 PDHPE textbook, helped develop innovative school sport education and talented sport programs and held the position of a PDHPE HSC senior examiner.
Since her retirement she has continued to actively contribute to professional development of teachers by giving freely of her time and expertise by presenting at the Early Career Teachers Conference, Stage 6 Enrichment Days, Tertiary Network Conferences and Leadership Courses run annually by ACHPER.  ( extract from Ann's citation)
