The new 7-10 PDHPE syllabus is here. ACHPER NSW has a comprehensive professional learning program to support implementation, co-designed and delivered by ACHPER NSW staff and experienced teachers.

Join us to kick-start your school planning for the new 7-10 PDHPE syllabus.

Unpack the new syllabus and start creating a scope and sequence, unit frameworks and assessment overviews with our templates and resources. 

Workshop sessions include:   

  • Syllabus requirements and planning considerations  
  • Evidence-informed planning  
  • Embedding student and community voice in your planning processes 
  • Unpacking and mapping content and outcomes 
  • Scope and sequence development 
  • Creating fair, inclusive and effective assessment programs.  

The workshop includes a range of practical resources such as: 

  • A comprehensive package of the latest health and physical activity data 
  • Planning templates 
  • Content links document covering K-12 (including PASS, Child Studies, HMS and CAFS) 
  • Faculty planning documents for mapping and sequencing content into units 
  • Sample scope and sequences 

Who should attend? PDHPE Head teachers, Leaders of Learning, Heads of Department and PDHPE Coordinators.

PRESENTER

Natalie Auremi, HT PDHPE, Wentworth Point High School 

Natalie is a highly experienced PDHPE teacher and current Head Teacher PDHPE at Wentworth Point High School. She regularly supports colleagues, both early career and experienced, in all aspects of teaching. Natalie is a dedicated & passionate PDHPE teacher who loves to drive her students to achieve their personal best. Her love and passion for teaching PDHPE is evident in her teaching and learning practices and her delivery of workshops and presentations.

ACCREDITATION  
ACHPER NSW is a NESA recognised PD provider. Attending this workshop will provide participants with 5.5 hours of professional learning addressing Standard 3: Plan for and implement effective teaching and learning, Standard 6: Participate in learning to update knowledge and Undertaking professional knowledge to improve student learning for the priority area Delivery & assessment of NSW curriculum.
