Masterclass: Is there education in Physical Education?
September 11 @ 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm AEST
$30.00
Our Masterclass series explores the latest health and physical education research. We offer 8 Masterclasses each year.
Masterclass #5 2025:
Within an Australian context there is a paucity of evidence to demonstrate that learning occurs in PE. More specifically, there is a lack of evidence to demonstrate that authentic learning occurs in PE, highlighting the need for PE researchers, practitioners, and teachers to design and lead empirical and robust research on learning in PE. What learning occurs in your PE classes and lessons? What methods and processes do you incorporate in your PE curriculum to demonstrate that student learning does occur? We share our research findings and present these as an opportunity to stimulate discussion amongst HPE and generalist teachers to advance the role of research in teaching practice.
