PDHPE HSC Marking Simulation

The workshop will be held in a hybrid format. Participants can choose to attend the workshop via face to face delivery at Teachers Federation House, Surry Hills or via LIVE video conference (via Zoom).
Participants will explore the NESA exam setting and marking process, gain a better understanding of the judging and moderation process, as well as participate in simulated HSC marking.
As a result of participating in this workshop, participants will have
• increased consistency and more confidence in making professional judgments in marking Core 1 and Core 2 of the PDHPE course
• greater knowledge and understanding of what is important in teaching Core 1 of the HSC course
• greater awareness of support for the teaching of Stage 6 PDHPE.
Who should attend: Teachers who have not had the opportunity to experience HSC Marking. Teachers who are currently teaching a Year 12 class.

6.2.2 Participate in learning to update knowledge and practice, targeted to professional needs and school and/or system priorities.
Completing PDHPE HSC Marking Simulation Workshop before 31 July 2021 under NESA’s interim arrangements will contribute 5 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and assessment of NSW curriculum addressing standard descriptors 1.3.2, 2.1.2, 2.2.2, 5.2.2, 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
