Programming the new PDHPE syllabus for Tertiary Educators

The K-10 PDHPE syllabus workshop for Tertiary Educators will provide Health and Physical Education Tertiary Educators with a deep knowledge and understanding of the features of the new K-10 PDHPE syllabus as well as a step-by-step process for planning teaching and learning programs that align with the intent and requirements of the new syllabus.
Friday 7 December
8.30 for 8.45 start.
The day will close at 3.30.
$180 members, $250 non-members
Morning tea, lunch and electronic access to all workshop materials included.

The workshop sessions are highly interactive and will step participants through the evidence-based programming process. By the end of the workshop participants will have developed a draft scope and sequence for a Stage and an evidence-based unit of work with formative assessment activities.
The sessions will cover the following:
- Understanding the Five Propositions
- Evidence-based programming decisions
- Translating student needs into units of work
- Developing a scope and sequence
- Creating relevant and engaging units of work
- Where to from here.
Completing Programming the K-10 PDHPE syllabus on 7 December 2018 will contribute 5 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing standard descriptors from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
