This webinar provides teachers with practical strategies to improve their own wellbeing. Sarah will explore the signs & symptoms of teacher brownout, discuss strategies to avoid complete burnout, and provide fast-acting tools for both teacher and student wellbeing toolkits.
Sarah is a PE teacher & wellbeing education specialist focused on making the science of wellbeing practical in both the classroom and in the lives of educators. Sarah works with schools across Australia to create and implement Practical Wellbeing Ecosystems in alignment with the individual vision & strategic plan of each school and delivers student programs & staff PD focused on improving wellbeing literacy.
Completing via live video conference (zoom) Put your oxygen mask on first – Prioritising Teacher Wellbeing before 31 July 2021 under NESA’s interim arrangements will contribute 1 hour of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Elective PD in the priority area of Delivery and assessment of NSW curriculum addressing the following standard descriptors from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
6.2.2 – Participate in learning to update knowledge and practice targeted to professional needs and school and/or system priorities.
