Quality Assessment in CAFS

This is a one-day professional learning workshop that focuses on quality assessment in CAFS. Participants will be provided with an overview of the assessment process as an integral part of the teaching and learning cycle and then the assessment opportunities in Groups in Context and Parenting and Caring. Discussion around teacher facilitated vs student-centered approach to the IRP.
This workshop will allow participants to explore and discuss
•Alternative Approaches to IRP
•Assessment opportunities in GIC and P and C
Professional Teaching Standards
3.6.2 Evaluate personal teaching and learning programs using evidence, including feedback from students and student assessment data, to inform planning.
5.1.2 Develop, select and use informal and formal, diagnostic, formative and summative assessment strategies to assess student learning.
5.2.2 Provide timely, effective and appropriate feedback to students about their achievement relative to their learning goals.
Completing Quality Assessment in CAFS on 25 March 2019 will contribute 5 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing standard descriptors from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
