Sun and UV at School: teach your students about skin cancer prevention
September 16 @ 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm AESTFree
To coincide with the launch of the new Sun and UV at School classroom resources, ACHPER NSW is holding a webinar hosted by Simon Board, the PDHPE Syllabus Education Consultant who oversaw the development of the resources, working with the Cancer Institute NSW in consultation with the NSW Department of Education.
The webinar will explore how inquiry-based learning and a strengths-based approach can bring the issue of skin cancer prevention to life for students.
PDHPE teachers can play an important role in helping young people protect their skin from the harmful effects of the sun. Find out more about Sun and UV at School, an interactive suite of skin cancer prevention resources released 14 September 2020 for NSW schools: www.cancer.nsw.gov.au/sun-school.
The K-10 resources are curriculum-aligned, flexible and easy to use, and were developed by the Cancer Institute NSW in consultation with the NSW Department of Education.
