ACHPER NSW is proud to be presenting the second phase of workshops to support teachers to plan for and implement the new K-10 PDHPE syllabus.
The Programming the new K-10 PDHPE syllabus workshops provide participants with the next steps for developing their new scope and sequences and PDHPE units of work ready for implementation in 2019 (Years 7 & 9 required, K-6, Yr 8 & 10 optional).
The workshops will be presented by Janice Atkin and ACHPER project officers throughout Term 3.
The workshop sessions are highly interactive and will step participants through the evidence-based programming process. By the end of the workshop participants will have developed a draft scope and sequence for a Stage and a evidence-based unit of work with formative assessment activities.
The sessions will cover the following:
- Evidence-based programming decisions
- Translating student needs into units of work
- Developing a scope and sequence
- Creating relevant and engaging units of work
- Where to from here?
Recommended pre-requisite learning:
It is highly recommended that participants attending the Programming the new K-10 PDHPE syllabus workshops have completed the previously offered professional learning opportunities on Unpacking the propositions and Unpacking the K-10 PDHPE syllabus. If you haven’t undertaken these PLs either online or face to face you can register free online through MyPL and complete them in your own time prior to attending the workshop.
Spaces in each workshop are limited so register early to avoid disappointment.
