Unlock the secrets to improving student performance in Stage 6 PDHPE.

This workshop focus on HSC marking and judging process, understanding the performance standards, supporting students and quality practices and feedback.

There are 8 sessions:

  2. Unpacking the standards to improve performance
  3. Supporting students to improve through explicit teaching
  4. Teaching critical thinking and analysis
  5. Providing quality practice and feedback
  6. Techniques for mastering multiple choice questions
  7. Practical strategies to support your students

Who should attend?
Ideal for experienced PDHPE  teachers who have been teaching the Stage 6 course for a number of years.

Nick Mulvihill,
 PDHPE teacher, Singleton High School
Nick has been a PDHPE teacher for close to 20 years across several schools, with extensive experience in Stage 6 PDHPE and CAFS.  Nick has experience as both Head Teacher Administration and PDHPE, HSC marking experience and was a recent member of the 7-10 PDHPE syllabus writing team.

 

Accreditation
Completing Improving Student Performance in Stage 6 PDHPE will contribute 5 hours of NESA elective PD in the priority area of delivery and assessment of NSW curriculum – addressing standard descriptors 2.2.2, 5.2.2., 5.3.2, 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
