Teacher Membership – $140

  • Teachers of PDHPE with a tertiary qualification in education, health, physical education, recreation, sport, dance, fitness, medicine, physiotherapy, human movement or any area acceptable to the Executive Committee of a Branch;
  • Holders of a Fitness Leader, Personal Trainer or Diploma of Fitness Specialist (VET) or a recognised equivalent award;
  • Holders of a Level 2 Coaching Award from the Australian Coaching Council or a recognised equivalent award.

  • Membership of “PDHPE Community” provides teachers with discussions with other practicing teachers throughout New South Wales in real time 
  • Membership of “PDHPE Community” allows teachers to be part of circumstance groups e.g. remote area teaching or K-6 RFF teachers

Early Career Teacher membership – $110

Open to all early career teachers that meet the course specification of Full Membership who are in their first two years of teaching.

Academic membership – $140

 Open to all academics from tertiary institutions with qualifications in education, health, physical education, recreation, sport, dance, fitness, medicine, physiotherapy, human movement or any area acceptable to the Executive Committee of a Branch.

Pre-service teacher membership – Free

Open to students from tertiary institutions who are working towards qualifications in education, health, physical education, recreation, sport, dance, fitness, medicine, physiotherapy, human movement or any area acceptable to the Executive Committee of a Branch.

Benefits of pre-service teacher membership with ACHPER NSW include:

  • Membership of “PDHPE Community” provides Students with discussions with experienced teachers and alerts them to what is relevant in the industry in real time.  
  • Membership of “PDHPE Community” allows students to be part of the PDHPE student group

Retired membership – Free

Open to anyone who has been a member for 5 previous years and has retired.

ACT Membership

With the change in membership from National office to state branches – membership for teachers in the ACT will now be processed by the NSW Branch. 

ACT members will be able to access the same benefits as the equivalent NSW branch membership.

ACT Full member – $140

Open to teachers, academics and recreational professionals based in the ACT.

ACT Student member – Free

Open to tertiary students who are studying health, physical education or recreation qualifications at institutions in the ACT.
