Our Masterclass series explores the latest health and physical education research. We offer 8 Masterclasses each year.

Masterclass 4 2023:

The syllabus outcomes ask us to make judgments on students’ movement understanding. 

 This can be challenging when you may only see your classes for one practical session each week. Kelly will explore how using effective questioning as part of your movement lessons can help with explicit teaching of concepts, consistent assessment judgments and develop thinking students.

Dr Kelly-Ann Parry, Lecturer, Australian College of Physical Education 
Kelly is a passionate educator with a philosophy grounded in student-centric and innovative pedagogies. She currently works in Physical Education Teacher Education and has led PDHPE faculties in Australia and the UK. Kelly believes in supporting students to be physically literate and providing authentic learning experiences so that students can value movement. Her research focuses on games-based pedagogy and how to support teachers to teach through games.
